Corrections Division operated 89 corrections-based programs throughout Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas and Wyoming, providing substance use disorder treatment to men, women, and individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Our services are delivered in a variety of correctional treatment settings such as prison, jails and secure community-based centers. In FY 2025, we were re-awarded the Residential Treatment for males and females who are under community supervision for the Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department(CSCD). We were also awarded another outpatient substance use disorder treatment and aftercare services contract by the Florida Department of Corrections for Circuit 10 (Polk-County-Lakeland Florida).By the end of FY 2025, our total number of patients served per day did not increase over FY 2024. In FY 2025, the Corrections Division programs served an average of 9,170 patients per day. The accounting standard on uncertainty in income taxes addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the financial statements. Under this guidance, the Organization may recognize the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position only if it is more likely than not that the tax position will be sustained on examination by taxing authorities, based on the technical merits of the position. Examples of tax positions include the tax-exempt status of the Organization, the continued tax-exempt status of bonds issued by the Organization, and various positions related to the potential sources of unrelated business taxable income. The tax benefits recognized in the financial statements from such a position are measured based on the largest benefit that has a greater than 50 percent likelihood of being realized upon ultimate settlement. There were no unrecognized tax benefits identified or recorded as liabilities during the periods covered by these financial statements. Gateway Foundation, Inc. has used compensation surveys and independent consultants in 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2019. The Chief Executive Officer's compensation is determined by the Executive Committee. Salaries for the other members of the executive staff are developed by the CEO, within approved parameters, and are approved by the Executive Committee. All Executive Committee members are free of conflict, and are required to disclose any potential conflicts at each meeting prior to taking action on any item.
