Pt VI, Line 7a The governing members are appointed by the Legislative Council of the Tohono Oodham Nation. A letter of interest is submitted along with a resume to the executive branch of the Tohono Oodham Nation. Select applicants are then interviewed by the Commerce and Rules Committees of the Legislative Council. Pt VI, Line 11b The Organizations accountants provide a copy of the completed Form 990 to the Chief Executive Officer to distribute to the Board of Directors for review and approval during a board meeting. Once the Form 990 is approved, the accountants are notified and the return is released for filing. Pt VI, Line 12c Any potential or actual conflict of interest must be disclosed in writing to the Board of Directors. The interested person is excluded from the discussion and vote on the transaction, and the board is to demonstrate that the transaction is in the Organizations best interest. Any conflicts of interest are to be included in the board minutes. The monitoring and enforcement of the Organizations conflict of interest is done on a case by case basis.
