The intention of the program is rapid attachment to work that leads to self-sufficiency for families. The program offers job search, training, education and supportive services to participants. MCAN provides T/TA to sub-contractors, as well as program monitoring. SkillUp is a voluntary program for all food stamp and TANF recipients. 1024249 1024249 0 Energy Fund: Funds provided through the Emergency Weatherization Support fund were provided by Missouri's investor-owned utilities. These entities are governed through the Missouri Public Service Commission who ultimately approves rates, cost sharing, and contributions required to support vulnerable Missourians. When utilities request increases to their rate cases, funding support is often required to support low-income Missourians through various programs including Weatherization to decrease energy burden. Funds for the Emergency Weatherization Fund were provided from shareholder dollars already allocated to Weatherization programs across the state through the rate case process. Processing the mail, deposits of funds, and recordkeeping duties are separate individuals. Also, the accounts payable process is separate as well. Mail processing, coding of payables, check writing, and check signing are all centers for each individual grant and incoming/outgoing funds are coded accordingly. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 MCAN has three types of members. We have individual members which can be any person affiliated with a CAA and who pays dues. The second type is a CAA member which is an agency that pays dues established by the MCAN Board of Directors. The third type is associate membership, which can be an individual or organization not included int he first two groups and pays dues established by the MCAN Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a Every two years, all MCAN members vote on ten at-large members of the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b The members of MCAN are allowed to vote for the at-large candidates for the MCAN Board when elections are held.
