The board of directors shall regularly and consistently monitor and enforce compliance with the policy by reviewing conflict of interest statements and taking such other actions as are necessary for effective oversight. The existence of any actual or potential conflict of interest is reviewed by the board of directors. If conflicts are determined, the person with the conflict is excluded from the meeting/decisions and will refrain from voting on the matter. During the review and approval process the finance committee and board of directors use a salary survey prepared by mountain states employers council to determine compensation amounts.
