Treatment is based off of the specific needs of each individual as determined by a licensed counselor.In addition to outpatient services, the Organization operates a 30-bed residentail facility that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere in which clients can experience recovery. Staff 24/7, this treatment option offers scheduled activities along with individual and group sessions. Specially trained staff are available around the clock to help individuals through withdrawal and to assist them in seeking treatment for their substance use disorders.Also, through collaboration with Salina Regional Health Center and Stormont Vail, the Organization offers substance disorder related medical services, include suboxone dispensation. Patients are assessed using SBIRT which stands for Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment. Part X, Line 2: The Organization is organized as a Kansas nonprofit corporation and has been recognized by the IRS as exempt from federal income taxes under IRC Section 501(a) as an organization described in IRC Section 501(c)(3). Further, the Organization qualifies for the charitable contribution deduction under IRC Sections 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) and has been determined not to be a private foundation under IRC Sections 509(a)(1). The Organization is annually required to file a Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (Form 990) with the IRS. In addition, the Organization is subject to income tax on net income that is derived from business activities that are unrelated to its exempt purposes. For the years ended December 31, 2025 and 2024, the Organization has determined that it is not subject to unrelated business income tax and has not filed an Exempt Organization Business Income Tax Return (Form 990-T) with the IRS. Returns filed by the Organization are subject to IRS examination, generally for three years after each return is filed. No taxing authorities have commenced income tax examinations for open tax years. Part XII, Line 2d - Other Adjustments: Impairment loss on building 269,137. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The independent auditor completes audit drafts which are reviewed by the Organization's board of directors, CEO and CFO. Review comments and revisions are provided to the auditor. An updated draft is then provided to the board of directors for acceptance. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c During 2025, the organization revised its monitoring and enforcement of the conflict of interest policy. Annual disclosures were required in 2025 and reviewed by the Chairman of the Board. Errors in submissions were corrected. The review resulted in a finding of no board member having a conflict of interest as defined by the COI Policy. Going forward, annual disclosures are required every January with review by the Executive Committee in February. The Chairman of the Board and President/CEO consistently discuss any new information that may warrant a conflict of interest via preliminary inquiry or discussion.
