Our mission is to positively impact children's critical-thinking abilities, creativity, and STEM literacy. Our center is committed to achieving these goals by providing hands-on, interactive exhibits, enticing learning materials, and engaging programs for children ages 2-12. We strive to create an environment where children are drawn into a vortex of play, perseverance, collaboration, and innovation! Field Trip Program: In 2025, 3,134 students participated in 92 field trip visits to the Science Vortex, engaging in hands-on STEAM learning. Students attended from Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Cornville, Clarkdale, Sedona, and Beaver Creek schools. 0 31000 Summer Camp Program: In 2025, 296 children attended STEAM summer camps held in May, June, and July. Camp themes included Coding Explorers, EcoExplorers, Future Innovators, Junior Extreme STEAM, Minecraft Masters, and a Winter Break camp. 0 25000 Free Early Learning & Family Programs: In 2025, 1,144 participants attended Little Learners STEAM Time and Makerspace Family Night programs. Both programs are offered weekly and are free to the public. 0 8960 Weekend Public Access: The Science Vortex is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 1 PM. In 2025, 773 visitors attended weekend public hours. 0 11280 School-Based STEAM Instruction: In 2025, the Science Vortex delivered 77 STEAM lessons in PreK-8 classrooms, reaching 818 students. 0 4250 Community Outreach Program: In 2025, the Science Vortex conducted community outreach through 14 events, reaching at least 613 participants.
