A total of 213 individuals were enrolled, with 196 completing work-readiness training designed to build foundational employment skills. These efforts resulted in 67 participants earning industry-recognized certifications or credentials, stregthening their competitiveness in the labor market. We continue to focus our "second chance" housing model on returning citizens, individuals with substance abuse disorders, and unhoused individuals with wrap-around services, including food support, employment services, mentoring, and healing circles. 495199 72427 Food Services: Thanks to our two main partners, Metro Meals and DoorDash, we have signiificanty expanded our Meals on Wheels program to over 150 seniors per week. Our growth continues beyond there. We are expanding our food services program to the Child and Adult Community Feeding Program (CACFP), ensuring we can serve youth and seniors through after-school programming and adult day centers. Since Al-Maa'uun is exempt from federal and state income tax liability, no provision is made for current or deferred income tax expense. Al-Maa'uun is not a private foundation. Management has determined that Al-Maa'uun is not subject to unrelated business income tax. Management is not aware of any transactions that would impact Al-Maa'uun's tax-exempt status. Al-Maa'uun follows the guidance of the Accounting Standard Codification (ASC) 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, related to uncertainties in income taxes, which prescribes a threshold of more likely than not for recognition and derecognition of positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. For the years ended December 31, 2024 and 2023, management of Al-Maa'uun is not aware of any material uncertain tax positions. All tax-exempt entities are subject to review and audit by federal, state and other applicable agencies. Such agencies may review the taxability of unrelated business income, or the qualification of the tax-exempt entity under the Internal Revenue Code and applicable state statutes.
