This year our successes included 1) an international mandate at the UN to phase out Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs) by 2035; 2) supporting pesticide-impacted communities, farmworkers, and community-scale farmers in their work to support transformational change in state and federal pesticide and food systems policy and 3) promoting the principles of agroecology as a viable alternative to pesticide-based systems and a key to addressing climate change PAN builds network power through strategic alliances with other organizations, particularly those whose members are on the frontlines of harm from chemical-intensive agriculture (e.g., farmworkers, rural families, community-scale farmers and Indigenous communities).
