CFY partners with more than 60 providers to oversee after school activities for over 6,000 elementary and middle school-aged students in 41 Omaha public schools each year. Each year over 300 youth educators from 30 community organizations participate on professional development programs provided by CFY. Beyond facilitating the after school programs, CFY coordinates high quality experiences for youth. This includes multiple educational field trips during the summer for over 20 different organizations. This allows the youth to get out into the community. In spite of this calculation, Collective for Youth believes that we are in fact a charitable organization supported by the public for the following reasons.Collective for Youth serves as an advocate and provides resources and training for out of school time providers. We are committed to connecting youth to high quality programs and to cultivating a community of thriving partners who ignite imagination and foster intellectional growth.Each year we parterner with more than 60 providers in the Omaha area to oversee out of school time activities for over 6,000 elementary and middle school students across 41 Omaha public schools. In addition, over 300 youth educators from 30 community organizations participate annual in our professional development programs. These efforts reflect our deep engagement with the public and out commitment to serving broad community needs.Our board of directors is composed of individuals who represent diverse community interests. No single donor or related party exercises control over our operations or decision making process.Our funding comes from a diverse mix of governmental entities, private foundations, public charities and individual donors. This broad support base underscores our alignment with public interest and our role as a community serving organization. Based on these facts and circumstances, Collective for Youth meets the requirements to be treated as publically supported under the 10% test.
