These funds are for projects that are mission aligned. These funds are also specific for different programs that required a liability status on our balance sheet to ensure the funds were being correctly used. For 2024 we had a recycling program that was funded through one of these liabilities. 1 Financial Literacy grant savings and match program. For residents that need help to manage money and be prepared for unexpected life events. Participants must complete a course, there is an intensive verification process, and they must save $500 to receive any match dollars. The funding comes from the Community Financial Wellness program and the Columbus Foundation. 24 500 0 Verified program through a foundation and program admin Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 We are part of a financial literacy program that helps to match funds with participants going through an educational course to learn how to save for an emergency fund. If participants are able to systematically save the $500, set up a bank account, go through all classes, we then administer the $500 matching grant fund. This is monitored through the gift organization as well as through a program manager. No individual received more than $500 matching dollars and all participants are only eligible to do the program once. Form 990, Part I, Line 3 We had a total of 10 board members with 1 open vacant board seat. Form 990, Part I, Line 6 We had various volunteer opportunities throughout the year, specifically around building a small pocket park. The pocket park drew over 78 volunteers to build it through the 2024 summer. We hope to continue to utilize these volunteers for other activities if we get another big project. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The board chair assess all interests at the beginning of the year and reviews any changes made by board members, if any occur, to ensure all rules are followed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The executive board decides the compensation of the key employee of UDO, the executive director. This was started in 2015 with the acceptance and approval of new bylaws and standards of the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Available upon request Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 There was a reconciliation process of our balance sheet and statements resulting in an expense of $45,457.94 to be added to the balance sheet to reconcile and balance our books. Schedule B, Part I Ohio State provides support for general programming and events. Campus Partners supplies funding for our Outreach program focusing on our unhoused population, The Columbus Foundation assists with program support specifically around Community Financial Wellness and financial literacy program. The Neighborhood Design Center and the City of Columbus helped to fund a pocket park this year and the beautification of the neighborhoods. Mighty Crow, SoHud Collective, Hangover Easy, ServPro all helped to fund an arts and cultural event. There were anonymous donations for different projects including our event Pearl Alley Jam and the Pocket Park. Terra Landscaping helped fund the pocket park benches. Installed Building Products contributed funds for general work and the University District SID funded and paid for the safe and clean programming and administrative management. There is only 1 person that works for the organization and the 990 filing comes as the same time as annual meetings and major events. This also means that if the 990 were to be late the reason would be due to an unexpected emergency and the Executive Director needing to deal with said issue.
