Through this program MTAAP provides Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as well as hosts a forum for pediatric health stakeholders such as the Montana Department of Health and Human Services to provide programmatic updates to over 70 pediatric healthcare providers in Montana. The event includes 2.5 days of programming, over 10.0 CME and 7.0 MOC Part 2 points. The objective is to provide Knowledge and best practices in the field of Pediatrics which change frequently and require updates. Content is based on ongoing discussions and feedback from the Pediatric professional community in Montana and elsewhere. Changes in policies and recommendations from Pediatric healthcare experts, and updates in existing state-level data require new opportunities to educate clinicians and provide opportunities to learn from state officials, experts and colleagues. We plan to address practice gaps and identified barriers by:1) Utilizing opportunities for group discussion to share best practices for incorporating skills and patient care strategies.2) Sharing best practices for care of patients struggling with obesity.3) Offering time at meeting for early career physicians to meet and learn about opportunities to become more involved in projects, community topics, and professional networking around the state.4) Offering time at meeting for subspecialists to meet and learn about opportunities to network and support each other as well as how to breach geographical constraints of their practice.5) Encourage discussion and feedback with State Officials and National Experts to strengthen dialog. Obtain Feedback from healthcare providers to help State DPHHS identify priority health areas for future work.6) Share past successes in advocacy at the state level and how to become more effective.The Montana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MTAAP) promotes immunization confidence, education, and access for children and families across Montana. MTAAP provides evidence-based resources for healthcare providers and parents, advocates for policies that strengthen immunization programs, and collaborates with state and community partners to reduce barriers to vaccine access. Through education campaigns, provider training, and coalition-building, MTAAP works to ensure that all Montana children are protected from vaccine-preventable diseases.Improve Pediatric Mental Health:Child Mental Health Training - The proposed programs seek to improve access to care for children and adolescents with depression, anxiety and related disorders using a national strategy to enhance primary care. Mental Health care access will be addressed by ongoing REACH PPP Mini fellowships grants to members and working to address expansion and sustainability of Integrated behavioral health within the pediatric practice setting. Additional mental health education and trainings will be considered by the MTAAP executive committee. Time spent by MTAAP's lobbyist was in preparation for 2025 with no direct lobbying or grassroots lobbying conducted by the organization. The MTAAP lobbyist spent time on educating the MTAAP advocacy committee on how to testify on a bill during the session, determining legislative priorities, and developing the 2025 advocacy blueprint for the organization. Additional time was spent on monitoring legislative committee meetings that may impact pediatric providers or their patients. Emeritus Fellow: Fellows, Specialty Fellows, Dual and Corresponding Fellows, who are at least 65 years of age and have been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics for 30 years or more. E. Honorary Member: The Chapter may elect distinguished persons who have made outstanding contributions to pediatrics, and whose names are presented by a qualified member. The election shall be by a three-quarters vote of the members present. Section 3. Rights and Privileges of Members: A.
