Through policy research, educational conferences, and public engagement, CEN educates opinion leaders and the general public about public policies that promote the cleaner and more efficient use of energy, promotes energy conservation, and encourages the transition to a clean energy future. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b A copy of the proposed Form 990 is provided to the organization's governing body for its review before filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Periodic reviews are conducted to ensure that the organization operates in a manner consistent with the charitable purposes, and doesn't engage in any activities that could jeopardize the organization's tax exempt status. If the Board has reasonable cause to believe that a member has failed to disclose an actual or possible confict of interest, said member will have the chance to explain the alleged failure to disclose before possible disciplinary and/ corrective action is taken.
