We keep track of designated grants through fund accounting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b 990 prepared by CPA firm familiar with preparation of form 990. Detailed volunteer information and operations information provided by Executive Director. Copies of 990 are made available to Executive Committee prior to transmission to IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Board member would recuse themself from voting and from discussions prior to any vote of which the board member may receive a benefit. At the beginning of each year, board members are asked to renew their acknowledgement of adhering to the conflict of interest policy and providing information regarding any known conflicts at that time. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15b The organization leases 3 staff members from the school district. The staff are employees of Greeley-Evans Weld County School District 6 and the Success Foundation reimburses the District on a cost sharing basis. Compensation of the 3 staff members is determined jointly between the District and the organization. The leadership group of the District, including the Superintendent and the CFO, and the executive committee of the organization, including the President and Treasurer, meet annually to determine the compensation for the following year. The expenses incurred in 2022 were related to a mill levy override effort.It is not the intention of this organization to regularly provide funds for political activities. There are no planned ballot issues or school funding initiatives in the forseeable future.
