Each grantee commits to sending representatives to GIPL's annual Green Team Summit and to providing opportunities for GIPL staff to share resources with their congregation. To ensure accountability, GIPL requires documented leadership support, competitive bids, and committee approval for each project. Disbursements are tracked through project management software, and grantees must submit a final report within one year that includes financial accounting of expenditures and documentation of energy savings. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The 990 is prepared annually by an outside firm of certified public accountants. A draft of the 990 is circulated to the governing body for review, comment and approval prior to the 990 being filed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a The Executive Committee of the Board evaluates compensation data from similarly sized organizations and Executive Directors with similar experience.
