IAM began participation in the Healthy Opportunities Pilot program that provided 21,753 Healthy Food Boxes, 10,937 Fruit and Vegetable Prescriptions and 21,753 Healthy Meals to program participants in Henderson, Transylvania, Polk and Rutherford counties. IAM provided financial assistance, working directly with utilities and landlords, that helped 586 families avoid disconnections and provided 358 households with rent or mortgage assistance and provided 416 gasloine voucher and bus tickets. The Clothing Assistance Department served 9,517 individuals providing clothing, jackets, shoes and linens to neighbors in need.
