We track recipient data via grant application forms, W9 forms and IRS Charitable Organizations search A record is kept of the rubric created by students to make grant decisions and a written record kept of the deliberations and criteria used in awarding grants. For the Southeast Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance grants are only made to member schools with-in the alliance. Grant amounts are based on an equitable distribution model equation. We only send grant funds to 501c3 that provide W9. Form 990, Part III, Line 4d Program Service Expenses 173,673, Grants and allocations 11,503, Revenue 0 Other Program Services include Data Cohorts Project SESEC partners with community based organizations in conducting workshops on data analysis, using the data for data literacy, and working to use data in policy advocacy. SEED Local SESECs local SEED Project focuses on emerging community leaders, nonprofit professionals, parents and guardians, and SESEC allies who are working towards educational equity. Family Navigators Project A facilitated space for families in Southeast Seattle public schools to pool their knowledge and strengthen their advocacy skills so that they can effectively advocate for positive change in their schools and in the broader school system. Advocacy Family Engagement - SESEC manages a bi-annual Family Engagement Survey to assess opinions of families of color on the engagement and communiciation practices of local schools. The survey results are used to affect positive changes in those practices to make them more culturally aware and to make schools a more inviting and welcoming place for families of color and immigrant/refugee families. This also includes A Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The draft 990 is provided to the Board President, Treasurer and Secretary for review and comment. The final 990 is provided to each member of the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The executive directors compensation is based on data of like sized total staff, organizational budget, reports and similarly purposed organizations within the Puget Sound Region, based on a salary study conducted by an independent organization under the auspices of King County Government. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The IRS Form 990 and the formation documents are made available to the public upon request. The organizations meeting minutes, conflict of interest statements, governing documents and financial statements are available to the public upon request. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Board officers, directors, and key employees are expected to acknowledge any potential conflicts of interest with the business of the organization. Programs and projects are reviewed regularly with the board for oversight purposes.
