Honoring Excellence: We recognize outstanding high school senior tackle and female flag football players who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Building Pathways: We support youth football programs and partner with local area high school programs to provide opportunities for skill development, sportsmanship and love of the game. Through our premier Showcase Event, we connect student-athletes with NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA coaches to open doors to collegiate opportunities. Investing in Coaches: In collaboration with our local HS, collegiate and retired professional coaches, we deliver programs that empower coaches to lead, mentor, and inspire. Promoting Legends: As the regions nominating organization to the College Football Hall of Fame, we celebrate the legacy of our collegiate players and coaches. Strengthening Community: We are committed to building a stronger, more connected football community across Southern Arizona.In 2024, the National Football Foundation Southern Arizona Chapter (NFFSAC) continued its mission of supporting student-athletes, coaches, and the football community through impactful programs and partnerships. Scholar Recognition: Fourteen outstanding high school senior tackle and female flag football players were honored as NFF SAC Scholar-Athletes or 12th Man Awards, each receiving a cash award in recognition of their academic and athletic achievements. Showcase for Opportunity: The annual NFF SAC Showcase welcomed nearly 100 student-athletes, providing direct exposure to NCAA DII, DIII, and NAIA coaches. As a result, multiple participants received scholarship offers to continue their academic and athletic careers. Fundraising & Community Engagement: Our annual Golf Tournament successfully raised funds to support our programs and strengthen community ties. Friday Night Lights Program: In partnership with the Arizona Bowl, NFF SAC members supported local high school tackle and flag football programs each week during the season, promoting school spirit and sportsmanship across the region. National Recognition: We proudly nominated a collegiate scholar-athlete who was selected as a finalist for national recognition by the National Football Foundation.Through these efforts, NFF SAC continued to foster academic achievement, leadership development, and community pride through the sport of football.
