The Foundation is required to file a return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax (Form 990). The Foundation is also exempt from state income taxes under the Charitable Fundraising Act of 1971. Management has evaluated uncertain tax positions taken by the Foundation. The financial statement effects of a tax position are recognized when the position is more likely than not, based on the technical merits, to be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service or other taxing authority.
