Due to this oversight, the organization was struggling to carry the costs of the organization as there was no cash-on-hand. Under these circumstances, the Executive Director requested a loan from the Vice President to pay for some costs such as contractor payments, payroll, and taxes due. The organization's board approved this loan from the Vice President to the organization, and there was a written agreement; however due to financial issues in 2025, the organization went bankrupt, therefore leading to the loan going into default. Part III, Line 2 The organization developed it's first ever National Youth Transportation and Equity Conference (NYTEC). This was to help bring people and youth who are interested in working in the transportation and equity forums together to discuss the most pressing issues regarding youth transportation and equity today. The theme was the "Freedom to Move." In advance of NYTEC, the organization worked with a group of youth fellows to build knowledge around issues related to youth transportation and develop, implement, and report on interventions to engage their communities through creative means. Outcomes included creative visualization and storytelling examples, a fashion show, and opportunities to communicate data around transportation safety to new audiences. The organization also undertook many "consulting" programs that allowed for the IP of the organization to be useful in areas across the country. These included advising state departments of transportations on educational curriculum and communications, working with private sector partners to inform their own programming, and shaping the narrative of youth traffic safety through thought leadership opportunities. Part XII, Line 2c In the year 2024, there was a Finance Committee whose role it was to have financial oversight on the books.
