We envision a community in which hunger is not a barrier to success and believe that feeding hungry students allows for active minds during the school day. 0 0 575186 221561 FOCP fulfills its mission primarily through the work of five feeding programs: BackPack Food Program, Power Pack Program, Summer Pack Program, STOMP, and High School Pantry. Collectively, FOCP programs serve over 1,200 students each week within 7 school districts and 15 communities in the Greater Mankato Area. From July 2024 to June 2025, FOCP provided over 291,000 free meals to food-insecure students in our region. Our food packs include breakfast, lunch, and snacks for each day of the break, and are assembled by dedicated volunteers. These packs are transported to schools and discreetly distributed to enrolled children by teachers. During the summer and extended breaks, community volunteers deliver boxes of food directly to the doorsteps of enrolled youth. 191729 73854 FOCP's hunger-relief programs serve students in grades K-12 who live in food-insecure households by providing child-friendly and nutritious food items to be consumed each day of the weekend, school break, and summer months. Additionally, FOCP secured grant dollars to create and install a Free Little Pantry for community food access. The Pantry was installed at the North Mankato Taylor Library and is accessible to all. FOCP also expanded food offerings available to community members through a Community Cupboard located onsite at FOCP. Any questions or concerns are requested before the meeting and given further opportunity at the meeting to discuss. If the return is satisfactory, the board proposes a motion to approve and the return is submitted to the IRS. The governing board will determine if a conflict exists. If it's determined a conflict does exist, the individual with the conflict may make a presentation on the topic but must leave the meeting during the discussion and vote. Compensation of the Executive Director is based on comparability data from similar nonprofits in Minnesota and the immediate region (Salary and Benefits Survey, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits). The Board Chair and Vice Chair recommend any salary changes for board approval. This process is conducted once per year and is recorded in the board meeting minutes and personnel file. All other employees have comparable compensation reviews annually and pay ranges are established for d1scret1on of management.
