Other There were several reasons for the late filing as follows: Other 1) The Museum was without certain key personnel for much of the year. The Executive Director resigned effective 01/01/2024 and a replacement was not hired until 10/27/2024. Other 2) The museum was without a Development Director from February 2024 through the end of 2024. As such, the work required of these positions required the CFO to take their duties over until a permanent replacement could by hired. This all in addition to the CFOs normal duties. Other 3) The museum store was without a permanent Store Manager from February 2024 through October 2024. Same as noted above, the CFO was required to take over management of the museum store until a permanent replacement could be hired. Other 4) During 2024, a close relative of the Chief Financial Officer suffered serious health issues. This required the CFO to be intermittently absent from the museum for certain periods of time. Other 5) The factors above resulted in the annual audit of the financial statements and the preparation and filing of the Form 990 past the approved extension due date. During the audit and 990 preparation processes, the CFO came down with COVID-19 which further delayed the completion of the Form 990.
