Through its network of 147 agencies in 19 counties, food is distributed through on-site programs, pantry programs, and voucher programs. Throughout the network, a total of 123,134 food boxes were distributed to families or individulas in need, including 22,935 distributed through the mobile pantry program which supports our rural communities and 42,618 food boxes through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program which provides supplemental food for senior citizens.Child Nutrition Programs: SPFB's commitment to the community is evident in its after-school feeding program during the school year and summer feeding program. These programs not only provide hot nutritious meals and/or snacks but also offer mentoring and nutrition education, showing our dedication to the holistic development of the children. In the year, 95,263 meals were prepared and distributed to children in need. Additionally, 23,388 snacks to were distributed to children throughout the year.Social Services Programs: Food Stamps are provided to ensure that those with long-term food insecurity have the available resources for ongoing help. During the year, 1271 applications were successfully filed. The Board Secretary and Food Bank Administrator reviews the signed statements to determine conflict. If any are found, this information is passed on to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board Chair. The CEO provides a list of accomplishments for the current year to the Executive Committee. The committee reviews the CEO's performance independently. The quality of the performance is determined along with the suggested amount for a salary bonus/increase. The Chair of the Board then personally reviews the CEO's performance and future goals with the CEO. The Chair gives the raise information to the CFO for administration.
