We work with LGBTQIA+ community leaders to identify the best steps in supporting LGBTQIA+ community in Seattle and South King County, to address the lack of safety, homophobia, and transphobia in faith-based and overall housing options. Queer Power Alliances conducted four renters' rights trainings, a housing fair/forum and tenant educational videos for LGBTQIA+ renters about their housing rights. QPA had won significant statewide and local housing protections and policies. 0 0 0 GENDER JUSTICE PROGRAM: Queer Power Alliance offers extensive experience in implementing Talk Gender to Me, a gender identity-based training. Our expertise includes working with organizations to generate guidelines, practices, and procedures for implementing gender equity change efforts and providing training viewed through a social justice lens. We have worked with companies, community-based organizations, and government entities. Talk Gender to Me is delivered by experienced trainers who are knowledgeable about gender identities and the unique challenges faced by transgender and non-binary individuals. The training consists of interactive sessions that cover topics such as understanding gender identity and expression, the experiences and needs of transgender and non-binary people, and how to create a more inclusive workplace.
