The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program aids in low-income individuals purchasing food to provide for their families. Million Meals is a partnership with the Indiana Pork Producers supported 100% by contributions. Indiana Pork markets the program to its members and allied industries. Feeding Indiana's Hungry accepts and processes financial donations, purchases pork for processing, and arranges transportation to food banks. The pounds distributed are based on a formula that considers unemployment and poverty on a county by county basis.
