Over the project period "waves" of volunteers will work with local contractors to build much needed housing on the reservation. After completion of the homes the volunteers and contractors will build two small program centers to support programs for individuals living on the reservation. The volunteers are working closely with the YMCA of the Seven Council Fires in the design and construction. The Alumni has raised over $900,000 in contributions in order to bring the project to completion. 29702 0 10313 Chapter programs- The 17 chapters convene at various times during the year. Frequently these meetings include speakers, meals, entertainment, tours of interesting historical and/or educational places. Registration fees, if any, are collected and costs of these programs are dispersed by the chapters. Participants renew friendships that arose from their years of service to YMCAs throughout the US. The Form 990 is completed by combining the YMCA Alumni financial reports maintained in Quickbooks with amounts in categories seperately reported by the 17 Chapters. All amounts in Quickbook records are entered by the treasurer with assistance of two volunteers - an Assitant Treasurer in Ohio and one in New Jersey. The draft 990 is then reviewed by the Finance Committee. The dispersion of the individuals and the review by the volunteers give YMCA Alumni confidence in resulting reports. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Annually each member of the Board of Directors completes a Conflict of Interest form which is filed with and maintained by the YMCA Alumni President, currently Phillip Morgan. On this form the Board member confirms that they have not been involved in any activities that may conflict with the YMCA Alumni duties. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 Whenever a request is made, the requested document is made available. The 990 is on the Guidestar website.
