We collaborate with other child support associations and advocacy groups in child support development, research and advocacy efforts. We have built strong alliances with strategic partners throughout the US and internationally to support and promote the achievement of mutual goals in ensuring children are entitled to, and receive support from both parents, regardless of where the parents reside.NCSEA also develops positions on current and emerging policy and legal issues and serves as an advocate and educator to members and other stakeholders on those issues. Our Values: It is our fundamental belief that both parents are responsible for the emotional and financial support of their children. We believe that the best interests of the children come first and individual interests should be secondary when parental or professional interests differ. Form 990, Part I, Line 6 NCSEA volunteers advocate for better child support legislation and regulation. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1a NCSEA has an Executive Committee of the Board, consisting of the President, President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Except as otherwise provided by the Bylaws, the Executive Committee shall have the power to transact the business of the Board between meetings of the Board and other such duties as the Board so directs unless by vote of the Board, the Board specifically reserves the power to take a specific action. In the event that the Board specifically reserves power to take specific actions, such reservations shall be in writing and shall be recorded in the Policy Manual, maintained as provided by the Bylaws. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 3 The Association utilizes the services of a management firm, MCI-USA("MCI"). Management fees represent amounts paid to MCI under the terms of an agreement for management services, office space, equipment, and other resources. Management fees totaled $ 442,800 for the year ended December 31, 2023. The Association's Executive Director is an employee of and was compensated by MCI. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 Membership is voluntary and open to any eligible person or organization interested in furthering the purposes of the Association. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members elect the Board. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b Any member of the Association may propose a resolution for consideration by the Board. The Association Bylaws may be amended or repealed by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Association's members voting on the proposed changes to the Bylaws.
