Continuing to face results from the Covid19 pandemic, the YMCA of Saginaw continued innovative to ensure programs continue, such as Safety Around Water and Saginaw Swim an every 3rd grader swim program and Mission Nutrition addressing hunger. Camp Timbers, our residential overnight program, was rebounding from the pandemic and saw increased activity for our youth. In 2023, we provided $46,574 in financial assistance to people who otherwise would have faced economic barriers to participation. Healthy Living: The Y is a leading voice on health and well-being. We bring families closer together, encourage good health, and foster connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. As a result, nearly 5,000 people in our community are receiving the support, guidance, and resources they need to achieve greater health in spirit, mind, and body. In 2023, we provided $92,171 in financial assistance to people who otherwise would have faced economic barriers to participation. Social Responsibility: Our YMCA believes in giving back and supporting our neighbors. We have been listening and responding to our community's most critical social needs for over 150 years.
