In partnership with Charleston, SC-area leaders and funded by Charleston-area philanthropy, HMT served 61 students, 98% of whom met or exceeded program growth goals. Funded entirely through a new initiative from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools COVID-19 relief funds, Heart launched the Heart 3-5 out-of-school time tutoring program that served approximately 50 students at Renaissance West STEAM Academy in 2022/23. The program is focused on both intervention and grade-level math concepts for 3rd-5th graders and involves small group instruction delivered after school by paid tutors.
