Our organization has trekked 1,000 miles across Florida, twice, to demonstrate the need and opportunity to connect wild places in Florida. We combine conservation science with compelling imagery and rich storytelling to heighten the visibility of the Florida Wildlife Corridor and inspire its protection. Through education and citizen engagement, the Florida Wildlife Corridor advocates for the protection of the missing links needed to connect conservation lands in the corridor. Our Florida Wildlife Corridor expeditions result in documentaries, books, videos and vivid photographic presentations that introduce these natural areas to Florida residents and visitors of all ages. The organization also develops or commisions other photography, video, mapping, fine art and written content to share topical conservation priorities. 1 1 1715239 The Florida Wildlife Corridor Program helps to raise awareness for the mission by organizing events, murals, expeditions, film-screenings, gallery exhibits and media to advocate for land protection and wildlife crossings within the Florida Wildlife Corridor. We partner with organizations and individuals nearly as diverse as the wildlife we aim to protect. Using a science-based approach, on the ground knowledge of the Corridor, and the support of thousands of followers through the state and nation, we work to identify and elevate the post most pressing threats and opportunities facing the Corridor. Founded by the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation and located in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg, Florida, the gallery aims to create a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment for all visitors and participants. It showcases the works of locally and nationally renowned artists, highlighting the influence of art on shaping our understanding of the relationship between nature and humanity. The gallery's exhibits rotate regularly and are presented in an open showcase setting, fostering connections to the mission of the Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation. Form 990, Part III, line 3 The management and operation of the Live Wildly Campaign was turned over completely to the Live Wildly Foundation (a separate 501c3). Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b 990 is drafted by an outside accounting firm, under Director of Operations and Finance who does initial review of 990. CEO performs second review. Once both internal staff have approved, the 990 goes to the Chairman and Vice Chairman for final review and sign off. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c At the annual board meeting (held in December) all current and elected Board members are required to complete an updated conflict of interest policy and file on record with the organization. These are reviewed at that time for any potential conflicts. This appraisal compares organization performance with CEO goals as laid out in their annual plan. All key employees have an annual performance review conducted by the CEO. The results influence compensation changes decided by the CEO and Director of Operations & Finance.
