Capacity building is a key component to building a national network. In this area we identified a collaborative opportunity with the Healthy People Project 2030 and began identifying leaders throughout the country addressing the leading indicators of health to establish partnership and community via grass roots initiatives in the 4-regions of the United States. Initial startup grant was provided during the first quarter as seed to establish the infrastructure of the new organization. Pillar 2 - Community Education was designed to connect our brand in grass roots community across the country as we gain momentum to build alliance with existing organizations and communities doing similar work to maximize our ability for social impact. Pillar 3 - Leadership Training/Coaching n this area we meet once a week with 130 members across the country and counting to prepare them for leadership in their respective areas. We utilize group processes for community healing and economic development. Year-end is our annual convening to bring our community partner together to say thank you and offer an opportunity to foster connections with the community. Grounded in our core values of access, education, social support, and wellbeing, our organization fosters opportunities for wellbeing (economic stability, education, health, safe neighborhoods and built environment, and equitable distribution of resource in communities across the United States. In response to barriers affecting the Black family, NCBWR has pioneered initiatives to combat economic instabilitya critical social determinant of health. Our grassroots efforts, including the "Redefining Wellbeing as the Highest Form of Equity Tour" powered by the I.A.M.W.E. (Innovative Approaches to Manifest Wealth & Excellence) research design, have delivered thousands of hours of leadership development, entrepreneurial training, and social support. These programs empower Black women in leadership from their home to the board room to drive systemic change while addressing critical gaps for sustainable well-being. Through strategic partnerships, including collaboration with the CDC's Healthy People Project 2030 and NIH Compass, NCBWR is advancing solutions to redefine wellbeing as the highest form of equity. The hybrid innovation model integrates technology and community engagement to expand access to support networks for women with limited resources, ensuring sustainable intervention and advocacy even in times of crisis. NCBWRs commitment to community-led transformation has resulted in the creation of peer-directed interventions that influence health outcomes at individual, family, community, and systemic levels. By centering voices with lived experience and leveraging multi-sectoral partnerships, we cultivate trust, enhance research capacity, and drive the competitiveness of community organizations for future funding opportunities. As we move forward, our focus remains on building sustainable, long-term solutions to health and economic inequities beginning at home. With a structural health equity intervention in development, NCBWR is poised to make lasting impacts by addressing human behavior and wellbeing at its roots. This transformative approach positions NCBWR as a leader in advancing equity and building healthier communities nationwide.
