Many of these activities involve educating stakeholders on best practices in international education and providing supporting evidence. GCE-US engages in advocacy efforts around both authorizing (programmatic) and appropriations (funding) legislation and implementation. 990 REVIEW PROCESS The Form 990 is reviewed by the Executive Director and discussed with the CPA who prepared the return. The final copy is then sent to the Board of Directors for review prior to filing. CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY All board members sign an agreement to avoid conflicts of interest and to immediately disclose any conflict that arises. EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION The Board of Directors sets the Executive Director's compensation, reviewing the 990 forms of similarly sized and mission-oriented organizations, the candidate's previous compensation, and nonprofit sector compensation surveys.
