As a small organization with annual revenues averaging less that $110,000, KRC solicits donations online via its website, and by participating in select fundraising campaigns (Giving Tuesday and KRCs Annual Appeal). KRC has no paid development staff, but relies on community volunteers to spread the word of the organizations mission and charitable purpose, and to solicit donations. KRC has recently engaged the Artistic Fundraising Group to assist with both seeking out grant opportunities and sourcing addition donors.KRC has a diverse Board of Directors representing the broad interests of the public. All of KRCs directors are independent and none of them receive any compensation from KRC for their service. Several directors have specialized knowledge or expertise in the field and discipline for which KRC was formed and operates. Additionally, professional experience of individual directors includes: local executive director of a national labor union representing individuals in the industry that KRC serves; attorney; educator; and investment advisor and financial planner.KRC does not receive significant support from members of any single family. KRCs limited mission is to provide individuals in the Chicago entertainment industry with services to advance their careers and professional development. Those services include: video and audio suites, business lab and workshop space, panels and programming, and audition assistance. All of the services and resources provided by KRC are offered and afforded at no cost.
