Most recent efforts have been focused on digital equity programs that bring low-cost fiber, cable, WiFi and cellular service to low-income populations in New York State. In partnership with several grant funders, HNY launched the Community Classrooms program providing virtual classroom space to low-income students who were schooling at home during the pandemic.
