Potential grantees must submit detailed organizational budgets and program plans in order to apply for the Jumpstart Labs, Inc. grant making program, a process which also includes due diligence on the project's leaders, programs, and operations.All grantees must be approved by a committee of the board of directors and sign a contract countersigned by Jumpstart Labs, Inc.'s Chief Operating Officer, who is also Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. The agreement details the relationship of the two parties and references Jumpstart Labs, Inc.'s formal compliance and reporting procedures, as well as legal requirements. Any violation of these requirements may serve as cause for withholding grant funds or the termination of the grantor/grantee relationship unless resolved via a thorough investigation and the resolution of the issue. All international grants are restricted to a clearly charitable purpose and grantees must agree to the conditions of the award and provide assurance that funds will not be used for any prohibited purpose. All grantees are notified of the terms and conditions of each grant and grantees indicate acceptance by signature of the agreement. Jumpstart Labs, Inc.'s agreement with grantees contains the following language:"Grantee is aware that Grantor is required by United States law to ensure that none of its grant funds are used directly or indirectly to assist in, sponsor, or provide support for acts of terrorism or to support organizations or persons listed as terrorists on lists maintained by the United States government, the United Nations, the European Union, and other entities. To assist Grantor in complying with applicable law, Grantee agrees to provide Grantor such information as Grantor may reasonably request, including information about persons or organizations that will or have received funds in connection with grant funds received from Grantor.Grantee agrees that Grantor grant funds will be used in compliance with all applicable anti-terrorist financing and asset control laws, regulations, rules and executive orders, including but not limited to, the USA Patriot Act of 2001 and Executive Order No. 13224.
