A Member Organization refers to the congregations, schools or other organizations that have paid their dues and are in good standing. An associate Member organization refers to community organizations and congregations that wish to associate with FIAEB without becoming full members. Any non-political and non-partisan community organization that agrees with the purpose of FIAEB and meets the membership criteria may join. FIAEB assists every member organization in their community organizing efforts. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Finance & Audit Committee and Board review and approve the Form 990 before filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c A conflict of interest form is completed annually by all Board members. If a conflict of interest arises, the affected Board member is required to recuse him/her self from any decision-making capacity that could give rise to a conflict. The Board itself administers this policy and enforces recusals as needed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15a The CEO/Executive Directors compensation is determined by the Board of Directors. The Board includes members who have extensive experience in nonprofit compensation owning to their roles on other nonprofit boards or running their own nonprofits. The Boards collective experience and knowledge of comparable compensation for CEO's/Executive Directors for similar organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and the City of Oakland is the basis for decisions on compensation.
