Part III Line 4a PREACHING THE GOSPEL: One of the last things Jesus instructed before ascending to heaven comes from Mark 16:15 "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." ICorinthians 15:1-4 tells us what the gospel is: Moreover,brethren,I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Jesus' instruction in Mark 16 continues with verses 17 and 18: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe, In my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents;and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Kathie Davidson Ministries, in obedience to these scriptures, conducted monthly meetings in South Bend, IN, where this Gospel was preached, the Lord Jesus and our Heavenly Father were praised, people were born again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, healed of sicknesses and devils were cast out. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwith standing ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Part III Line 4c CHRISTIAN TRAINING: An integral part of Preaching the Gospel is teaching Christians how to be disciples of Christ. John 15:8 says, Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit: so shall ye be my disciples. Teaching & Preaching go hand-in-hand: Acts 15:35 tells us,Paul also and Barnabus continued in Antioch,teaching and preaching the word of the Lord...And Matthew9:35 says,Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues,and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and disease among the people. The Great Commission,the last command Jesus gave before returning to the Father,found in Matthew 28:19-20 is our purpose; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
