Temporarily restricted net assets represent assets received from the school and investment income whose use has been restricted by donors for a specific purpose or time period. Temporarily restricted net assets are comprised of the Alumni Church Worker, Frieda Schwecke, and Timothy Scholarship funds as well as the temporarily restricted portion of the operating reserve fund and endowment fund investment income accumulated in excess of the original principal amount. Permanently restricted net assets represent assets received from the school requiring the principal of the gift to be maintained in perpetuity and provide a permanent source of income. Net assets that are perpetual in nature include amounts that have been designated by the School's Board of Directors as Endowment Funds. Endowment funds include the original gifts and the temporarily restricted earnings to be used for the following programs: Brandenburg Student Aid, Extra Curricular, Klemp Muelich Academic Endowment, Meulich Landscape Endowment, Kramer Endowment,Lane Endowment, Melchert Endowment, General Memorials, Rose Scholarship Fund, Schwarz Student Aid, Schroeder Student Aid, Technology Endowment, Tutor/Resource, Zimmer Fine Arts Endowment, and the Lutheran Legacy Foundation Maintenance & Upkeep and Schroeder Student Aid Endowment Funds.
