The purpose of the Fund was to give effect to the settlement, which included a desired goal of benefitting businesses that served the community where George Floyd was murdered, many of which were severely impacted in the wake of COVID 19 and George's murder. The Foundation issued $449,801.63 in grants in 2023, which included making grants to 16 different entities. Under the terms of the grant agreement, the grantees are required to update the Foundation on how the funds were used in compliance with the application. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c No expenses were approved without notice to the entire Board. No conflicts existed for our sole vendor in 2023 (legal counsel).
