Since then the number of shelter guests has grown to more than 100, and COFM has annually offered 18 weeks of food, shelter, and other resources, including referrals for medical care, rapid re-housing, and other social services. COFM continues to be the area's only emergency winter shelter for homeless men, women, and families, and has grown to a collaboration of more than 30 faith congregations, 12 community partners, and thousands of volunteers. The organization provides three meals a day, 126 nights of safe shelter and other resources to the area's most vulnerable citizens during the coldest months of the year. The shelter rotates weekly to a different host location where the guests meet caring volunteers and staff. COFM collaborates with the other community resource providers and makes regular referrals for medical care, rapid re-housing, and other social services. The organization is front line help for people who are coming from evictions, off the streets, out of woods, or out of jail, and serves as the bridge between living unsheltered and finding permanent housing.
