We produce nonpartisan, reputable, and comprehensive research exploring today's crucial issues across the justice spectrum. JIRN provides access to research, learning programs, and networking opportunities tailored for justice researchers. At JIRN, we empower our members to achieve more by providing resources tailored to their needs. With our partners, we also conduct justice research. We provide analyses of crucial issues and their effects across the justice system. We also analyze issues at the State & Federal level to assess today's pressing societal challenges. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4 The organization's Articles and Bylaws were amended in 2023 to change the name of the organization from Justice Research and Statistics Association, Inc. to Justice Information Resource Network, Inc. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 JIRN has three classes of membership: student, individual and institutional. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members elect the governing body. Each member in good standing of JIRN has voting and office-holding privileges. Student, individual and non-SAC institutional members each have one vote. Institutional members recognized by the Bureau of Justice Statistics as a Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) are accorded five votes which may be cast by the SAC Director alone or distributed among up to four staff members in addition to the SAC Director. Those to whom voting rights are distributed are eligible to hold elective office. The Executive Committee obtains comparable salary data for the Executive Director and other key employees from relevant publications such as the ASAE (American Society of Association Executives) Executive Compensation report.
