The travel costs incurred are included in the officers IRS reportable compensation. Additionally, the Board has authorized the reimbursement of the Federal and State income tax incurred by an officer due to the inclusion of the travel costs in reportable compensation Part I Line A The International President receives a General Executive Board approved taxable monthly housing allowance of 3,000 Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 BCTGM maintains a defined benefit pension plan for its employees. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles GAAP require the Union to disclose the unfunded pension liability or overfunding opension asset on its Statement of Financial Position. A decrease of the liability at the end of the year results in an increase in the Unions net assets. During 2023 the other components non Statement of Activities items of the Unionss pension cost increased the Unions prepaid pension expense balance by 702,299.
