<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Public education and outreach: This program organized open public conversations with energy and electricity experts and informs and educates the public. This program co-hosted Empower Hours year-round alongside Empower Our Future. These Empower Hours were held virtually, and a $641 Zoom Account fee is embedded into this program's expenses. The Empower Hours covered various topics and often invited guest speakers to present and allowed for question and answer alongside information dissemination. Event information can be seen at empowerourfuture.org/events and CEA co-hosted and sponsored all of the following events in 2023: "Energy & Environment Legislative Update with Senators Steve Fenberg and Lisa Cutter, and Representative Judy Amabile, "An Exploration of CO2 Injection & Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage with Morey Wolfson," "Elisa Wood of Microgrid Knowledge," "Legislative Wrap-Up," "Passive House to the People," "The Electrifying Opportunity of Microgrids! with Cameron Brooks of Think Microgrid," "Local Climate Action with a Global Reach: Susie Strife of the Boulder County Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience (OSCAR)," "A Lively Discussion with PSCo (Xcel Colorado) President, Robert Kenney and Leslie Glustrom, Longtime Xcel Watchdog," "Boulder City Council Candidates," "Boulder Mayoral Candidates," "CCE - What's in it for Me (and Colorado)? How Community Choice Powers Millions in the U.S." This program was carried out largely virtually by staff and volunteers in collaboration with Empower Our Future and served approximately 2400-2600 individuals.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>

<DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>Direct educational engagement: This program mobilized organization volunteers and employees to collaborate with other organizations and directly interact with the public to educate and advocate on energy and electricity topics. Clean Energy Action followed clean energy issues at the PUC and organized citizen written and oral comments and engagement on renewable energy, demand side management, electric and gas rate increases and accountability for paying for stranded and undepreciated coal plants. CEA also monitored, commented, and testified on clean energy and climate change legislation in the 2023 legislative session. CEA collaborated with several other groups including the Colorado Coalition for a Livable Climate, 350Colorado, Empower Our Future and Colorado Renewable Energy Society on educational and policy efforts at the local and state level. This program was provided primarily by volunteers and served approximately 1000-1200 individuals.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
