We built a coalition of over 50 organizations advocating for the issue, educated dozens of legislators about the collateral consequences of criminal records, and mobilized over 100 individuals to submit testimony in support of the bill. Affordable Housing Coalition (AHC): The AHC piloted a tenant organizing program in Southwest Missouri, partnering with a group of local activists to take their work to the next level. The AHC has developed a list of hundreds of potential members through tabling and community outreach efforts, and they are representing tenants at many housing-related discussions in Missouri's third-largest city. Food Security Coalition (FSC): The FSC spearheaded a campaign to pass a transitional benefits program in Missouri, preventing thousands of working-class Missouri families from stagnating in their careers in order to maintain public benefits. Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 As required by FASB ASC No. 740, Income Taxes, the Organization evaluated its tax positions and the certainty as to whether those positions will be sustained in the event of an audit by taxing authorities at the federal and state levels. The primary tax positions evaluated are related to the Organization's continued qualification as a tax-exempt organization and whether there is unrelated business income activities conducted that would be taxable. Management has determined that all income tax positions are more likely than not of being sustained upon potential audit or examination; no disclosures of uncertain tax positions are required. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b All Board members receive an electronic copy of the 990 with 10 days to review and provide comments or questions to the Board President. The Board President hold the ultimate authority to sign and approve the 990 after the 7 day period has passed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c Empower Missouri utilizes a conflict of interest form that is completed by Board members on an annual basis. Conflicts of interest are compiled into an annual spreadsheet for monitoring. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors evaluates the Executive Director annually. There was a review of compensation for similar positions within the surrounding area performed. The Executive Director's performance review is documented.
