From a structural perspective, Foundation board nominees require approval by the hospital board. From an operational perspective, the Hospital CAO meets with the Foundation every month, and he (or his designee) attends all Foundation board meetings. In addition, the Chairman of the local hospital board also serves on the Foundation board. The Hospital provides the Foundation with priorities for funding and fund raising.
