FEC: The Pueblo Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) is a collaboration between the City of Pueblo, UWPC, and Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund to provide individualized financial coaching as a free public service. Services include budgeting/saving for the future, reducing debt/bankruptcy, and understanding credit (establish, build, and repair).VITA: The Pueblo Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program provides free tax preparation and filing for individuals and families with low- to moderate-household incomes. VITA is a program of the IRS, developed more than 50 years ago as a means for income taxpayers to have their tax forms prepared free of charge. IRS-trained volunteers work annually to ensure all taxpayers receive the tax credits and deductions that they are eligible for. Crisis InterventionUnited Way of Pueblo County receives various requests for assistance on a regular basis. We offer resources and referrals to connect community member with available services in the community.
