TPIF invites organizations who benefit from our partnership (Queer Texas Crisis Fund) to complete a brief community survey with a follow-on listening session via Zoom. Our objective is to create space to share stories and capture insights and learnings as we build a stronger and mightier ecosystem of actors working on LGBTQ+ equality in Texas, especially those committed to our trans families and communities. For the Transgender Education Network of Texas, TENT agreed to work with Equality Texas Foundation to meet quarterly to generate financial/programmatic reports required by the International Trans Fund. TENT is responsible for submitting all grant reports required by the International Trans Fund, alerting Equality Texas Foundation on the submission of such reports. If necessary, TENT agreed to grant access to their accounting system to verify expenses associated with the grant. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b Form 990 is reviewed by the Finance Committee and the Board Members before filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c All board members must be aware of and follow the conflict of interest policy, identify conflicts of interest and situations that may result in the appearance of a conflict, and disclose those situations, conflicts, or potential conflicts to (i) the Chief Executive Officer, (ii) the Chair of the Board, as appropriate. Upon the disclosure, as appropriate, a decision is made as to what course of action the organization and/or individuals should take so that the personal interests of stakeholders in the nonprofit do not compromise the best interests of Equality Texas. Depending on the conflict, the Board Member may be asked to abstain from deliberation or voting on certain issues or asked to resign from the board if separation of conflict cannot be achieved. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a EQTX Equality Texas Foundation (Foundation) board consulted a compensation consultant to determine and approve the CEO's total compensation. Equality Texas and the Foundation pay 25% and 75% of the CEO's compensation, respectively.
