Part I, Line 2: Potential grant recipients send letters of intent to Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence to request grant funds, providing information about the recipient organization and the intended use of the funds. Once all letters have been received, requests are funded based on the amounts budgeted for grants for the fiscal year. Grant recipients are notified of the amount of grant funds for which they have been approved and are asked to submit a grant budget for that amount. Recipients are required to submit monthly reports to Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence which include statistical service data and records of expenses for which the recipients request reimbursement. The Executive Director of Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence or her designee reviews statistical reports to determine that adequate progress is being made on the project before approving reimbursement of expenses. Reimbursement requests are reviewed thoroughly for required documentation of expenses and to ensure that all expenses are allowable. The expense reports are then compiled and submitted to Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence's funder(s) for reimbursement. Upon receipt of funds from Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence's funder(s), checks are disbursed to the recipient organizations. The Executive Director reviews total grant payments to each recipient organization on an on-going basis to ensure that the total amount of grant funds disbursed to each recipient does not exceed their subgrant budgets.
