By investing in the development of future school board members and education advocates who reflect the diversity of our community's children, we are building a truly representative, informed, and sustainable coalition that is working together to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed in school and in life." 9118 "After completing the program, School Board School continues to offer networking and skill-building opportunities for members. We support our members over the long-term as they work together from seats across our community. Our members lead in classrooms, schools, districts, and nonprofits; run for office, including school board; organize & advocate at the local and state levels; and create equitable and inclusive policies and opportunities.We have been developing this coalition in Greater Cincinnati since 2018, and our members have been working proactively for five years to build more equitable systems. We started in 2018 with 12 members of our first cohort. Five years later, we have more than 100 members working together from seats throughout our community. In Greater Cincinnati, we have built one of the most diverse and informed networks of education leaders in the country." 1174 In January 2023, School Board School launched a free virtual training series open to anyone anywhere on civic engagement in education topics. We also share with our members actions they can take in opposition to those bills. The advocacy work that directly asked people to take action in total was approximately 1.62% of the staff members' time. Additionally, compensation for other local Executive Directors of comparable nonprofits was used. All board members present at the Annual Meeting reviewed the Executive Director compensation information.
