We were to develop 15 - 20 lessons and then implement them into the classrooms, primarily for preschoolers and lower elementary levels. We did complete 15 and are implementing them into our classrooms with a size of 20 - 30 youth. However, teaching was not a requirement for this investment. The investment was to create more resources for an endangered language/ culture. This will help us towards our ultimate goal of an Nez Perce immersion school of our own. This is helpful since our grants or funding opportunities vary from year to year. The manager donated all the time and own money to begin Hipeexnu', by working two jobs. Now, we are working on a Strategic and Financial Plan to hopefully figure out how to promote our efforts and possibly secure some hard cash. That shows in the 1099's we filed this year because it was well over 80% of our budget, which is what the guidelines were; to put towards the work.
