Lighstream Project:Designed and developed the first Lighstream course, to both youth in Deferred Prosecution and Probation level 3.Developed partnership with the Juvenile Justice Center and the Juvenile Probation Department.Graduated 18 youth from Lightstream.Developed and pre-designed the Lighstream program for youth in the Challenge/Delta Academy.Hired a full-time social worker for Lightstream and TLC programs. Transformative Learning Communities (TLC):Started the second year of the TLC program at Tays North and Tays South in partnership with HOME.Worked with over 45 families weekly and with regular well-attended community events.Created a program for teens, a community closet, developed partnerships to provide lunches, diapers and other family needs.Hired a full-time social worker for the TLC and Lightstream programs.Worked with local artists and instructors to introduce Artstream concepts in this informal setting.Developed a co-design community education learning model for adults, youth, and young children. Artstream Project:Designed and implemented the Artstreaam program in several EPISD Elementary Schools.Worked with over a dozen teachers, over 160 children throughout the year.Developed a partnership with the Archaeology Museum and other non-profits to create a final public event, attended by over 600 people.Worked with local and national artists to guide teachers, youth, their families and schools into a sustained art project.Collaborated with UT Permian Basin Arts department in the design and creation of clay models and artwork. Shadows to Light:Implemented the second year of the Mellon Foundation grant, integrating PSI S2L Social Workers into Adelante and Sendero.Created pathways for S2L participants and graduates to attend EPCC credit bearing courses.Developed and implemented a S2L program at La Tuna on Wednesday evenings; 17 completed the program in December 2022.Increased the number of participants in both Adelante and Sendero.Graduated 14 participants from Sendero and Adelante.Integrated the program at EPCCs Community Education Program, CAMP. Co)Re Design:Designed and developed a Precious Plastic Recycling program with UTEPs Green Fund and College of Engineering.Worked with and trained senior Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Student InternsDesigned and developed the Alamito STREAM Center with HOME (formerly the Housing Authority of El Paso).Obtained a $2.6 million CDBG grant for the remodeling of the Alamito site into a community learning center.Developed program and partnerships for the implementation of the program once center opens.Developed and taught a graduate and undergraduate level course for UTEPs College of Education students, as a practicum to experience learning through our programs.Developed and started the Innovative Teacher Fellowship as part of EPCFs Community of Practice project, where we worked with over 40 teachers to train them into co- design.
